Welcome, EVERSIO.PUBG!

aaa

Is PUBG esports ready? We're on a mission to find out.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is still not yet fully released, yet it has sent shockwaves across the gaming community. 15 million copies sold, peak concurrent players easily exceeds 2 million everyday, whilst dominating the Twitch viewership statistics. Professional esports organisations worldwide have been investing into the game, with the likes of Team Liquid, Cloud9 and G2 having dipped their toe, we've taken the plunge as well.

Here at Project EVERSIO, we've been bitten by the PUBG bug pretty severely. Every evening, our private Discord channel often has two or even more squads vying for Chicken Dinner, and we've developed quite a bit of a community around it. Having a fixed, dedicated team to compete in tournaments for the game, followed on naturally.

We're thus very happy to be announcing our PUBG squad, made up of members from our former Overwatch team!

EVERSIO.PUBG:
 Wayne "Reed" Reed
 Clinton "Cin" Caruana
 Daniel "Deathrow" Gatt
 Marco "PK" Bugeja

Wayne "Reed" Reed is our in-game team leader, and formerly filling out the flex role in our Overwatch squad, being proficient with DPS characters such as Genhji and Pharah, as well as Tanks such as Zarya. Reed's competitive gaming experience goes back to Call of Duty 2, and League of Legends, having played for Reckless Extreme in the former game, and for Ephica in the latter. Wayne is a natural when it comes to competitive video-games, whichever the genre. His calm demeanor allows him to make the right calls even in the midst of pressure.

Clinton "Cin" Caruana is the former leader of our Overwatch squad, and one of the most prolific local support players in the game. Cin comes from a competitive background in League of Legends, wherein he played for Ephica together with Deathrow and Reed, as well as competitive PvPer and raider in World of Warcraft. Cin has an uncanny ability in understanding his opponents' strategies, and coming up with a way to defeat them.

Daniel "Deathrow" Gatt was feared for his hook when playing as Roadhog in Overwatch. He has since transferred his impeccable aim to PUBG, and is a sniper to be feared. Deathrow has a long history in the local gaming community, having played Call of Duty 2 for SAS Gaming, Call of Duty 4 and League of Legends. Deathrow has a deep understanding of the game and its mechanics, and with his competitive experience on the table, he's a formidable shot-caller.

Marco "PK" Bugeja is the longest standing member in Project EVERSIO, having been a staple of our Call of Duty 4 squads and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams. There is pretty much consensus that PK was the best CoD4 player in Malta, and those skills were apparent as the team challenged the very best in Europe. Marco's aim, reflexes and gamesense made him play the hard-hitting DPS players in Overwatch, such as Soldier: 76, McRee, Tracer and Widowmaker. Those same qualities have made him a deadly opponent in PUB, and is someone you can count on to turn the tide of a fight.

Project EVERSIO.PUBG will be competing at the Malta Esports Festival 2017 on the 24th November!
