ESL Benelux LAN Finals!

aaa

Our CS:GO team has qualified for the offline finals of the ESL Benelux Championship Winter 2021!

The ESL Benelux CS:GO Championship is the recurring national league for the region of Belgium-Netherlands-Luxembourg, and features a prizepool of €10,000. Teams have to first qualify through open or closed qualifiers, and only the top eight teams make it to the online groupstages. Following round robin matches, the best two teams from each group qualify for the offline finals, which for this season, will happen at the Proximus Lounge in Brussels on the 30th of October.

In the previous season, which ended in May, our team placed 5th in the online group stage, failing to qualify to the playoffs just by one win. This placement however placed us in the Closed Qualifier for the Winter season, which we went through by defeating MAZESBIN and mCon Academy.

Our group stage match started off with a very hardfought victory against Sector One. S1 took the first map, Mirage, 11:16, but our team pushed them back to a 16:6 victory on Ancient. The decider map, Overpass, proved to be extremely close, as we defeated the Belgian team on overtime, 19:17.

Our second match was against the famed LowLandLions, who were still hot from winning the Elite Series versus eClub Brugge, however our team pulled off the upset, 16:11 on Vertigo, and 16:4 on Overpass, and we therefore qualified for the Brussels finals, where, apart from the lofty prizepool, we could also win a spot in the ESL Pro League Conference!
